Africa Haguruka Conference in Kigali, Rwanda Report
/Report on the Africa Haguruka Conference in Kigali, Rwanda on August 4-11, 2024 by Samuel Hayes
It was an incredible honor to be part of the 25th anniversary of the Africa Haguruka Apostolic conference in Kigali, Rwanda this month. My wife, Dr. Andrea, and I were blessed to participate with Apostle Dr. Paul Gitwaza, a true visionary and the conference organizer. It was particularly meaningful to share this experience with several members of the International Coalition of Apostolic Leaders (ICAL) family, including Yemi Adefarasin (Nigeria), Obii Pax-Harry (Nigeria), Joseph Mattera (USA), and others as we gathered with hundreds of apostolic leaders worldwide to celebrate the
The Africa Haguruka conference is dedicated to shaping Africa’s future. Dr. Gitwaza’s innovative "mountain and location" strategy, which applied the seven-mountain mandate within the church by selecting distinct locations to represent each mountain, made the principles of cultural change and reshaping more accessible to participants.
Throughout the day, seven conferences were held simultaneously across Kigali, followed by evening revival meetings. The evening sessions were devoted to celebration and teaching, where we had the opportunity to inspire over 7,000 attendees on the fourth day.
I was privileged to teach four topics at various locations: a university for the Education Mountain, CityLight Foursquare Church for the Business Mountain, and Mount Hermon for the Youth. My wife, Dr. Drea, spoke to the Women at Zion Temple, the host church’s headquarters in Kigali. Each session concluded with a thoughtfully designed Q&A.
We extend our deepest respect to Dr. Paul and his wife, Pastor Angelica, for the remarkable work they are doing in Africa.
