Puerto Rico Ongoing Earthquakes Amist Covid-19 Issue
/Sydney Stair, ICAL Ambassador in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, reports on Earthquakes and Covid-19 disasters:
"Puerto Rico has been experiencing earthquakes since last December [2019] and they haven’t stop. Every day on the southern part of the Island we are experiencing tremors, some strong some not so strong. Last Saturday the quake was felt in a large part of the Island and caused significant damages. I texted today with one of the apostles living in the city of Ponce and he told that there are people sleeping in their automobiles, under tents, outdoors because of fear.
In a prior conversation he told me that a few people had committed suicide. The pandemic, government pressure, anxiety, restrictions, curfew, lack of income, FEAR of the virus and the quakes are just too much to bear.
Before the curfews, our ministry took food and personal hygiene goods to the southern part of the Island for those in need. My family and I are doing good, thanks to the good Lord.
But I know that the aftermath is going to be difficult, so that is what my family and I are preparing for.
Thank you for your prayers!
