India Coalition Report by Prasad Rao

Apostle Prasad Rao, Convenor for India, recently sent the following report:

As part of Indian Coalition of Apostolic leaders’ mission, all the leaders have been regularly meeting via Zoom meetings to strengthen, encourage and equip one another in the difficult times like these. I’ve been hosting the meeting  every week where leaders from across different states of India attend to discuss the strategies to prosper God’s work despite present challenges and share our experiences in this journey.

Apostolic leaders such as Phil Spence and David Vaca are providing training and equipping us through these meetings as well.

There has been a great response from the leaders of the coalition as God has been building each one of us through these Virtual meetings.

Indian Coalition of Apostolic Leaders has been a great blessing to the leaders over the years and we continue to thrive even through this unprecedented crisis of our life time. Technology has made it easy for anyone to express and share their views to a wider audience than before.

Although it has its own benefits, there has been potentially harmful teachings to the body of Christ using the same technology. Believers, pastors and leaders are seeking for the right teachings and I think ICAL can provide the right direction. It’d be of great benefit, if you or anyone from your team share the wisdom and teachings through the Zoom meetings to all the leaders of ICAL, India. I request you to provide your (or your team member’s) valuable time to equip us through God’s word and wisdom.

Over the course of the last few weeks, we have witnessed God’s miracle working power as we seek our Lord’s help in this pandemic situation. I’d like to share a few testimonies with you regarding the same.

Testimonies of Healing from Covid virus:

During the 40 day Fasting Prayers via Zoom meetings, one of our church members, who is a Doctor working at a Government run hospital, has invited her colleague to the prayers. Her colleague, Dr.Vasundhara and her husband, are non-believers who had tested positive with COVID-19 recently and they were in a critical situation. When they attended our early morning prayers through Zoom, they felt the soothing presence of God, easing all their anxieties. God answered the prayers of the church and the couple have been completely well and soon discharged from the hospital. They have started to read the Bible and have recently shared their testimony with us during our Fasting prayers. God is definitely working behind us in ways we cannot imagine even though we cannot see it straight away.

We are continuing with 21 days Early Morning prayers after the 40 days Fasting prayers have ended as many of our church members and even non-believers have greatly benefited from this. We are also inviting people infected by COVID-19 to attend our prayers and be encouraged by the word, filled with the Holy Spirit and claim victory over their battles.

I’d also like to share a testimony from one of our branch churches. Our church planter Ps.Timothy serves the Lord at several churches in Khammam district. One of his church members returned from Hyderabad to Khammam after he lost his job. Unfortunately, he didn’t realize that he had contracted COVID-19 while he was working at Hyderabad. On returning to his village in Khammam, he has attended the church run by Ps.Timothy. A few days later he tested positive for COVID-19 and the entire village panicked with this news. - He was excommunicated from the village by its elders. Although the entire congregation was at risk, God has not allowed the virus to spread. Instead, the church prayed for him and when he took the COVID-19 test again, he turned negative. To God’s glory, the entire village has witnessed God’s power and now the village elders ask for them to be prayed upon.

Another testimony comes from the same church, where a cancer patient, Lakshmi was miraculously lifted from her death bed. Doctors have asked Lakshmi to be taken home as they couldn’t do anything about her situation. She was bed-ridden. But when the church prayed for her, she was completely healed and now she can walk on her own and do her work all by herself. All glory to God.

There is another interesting testimony from one of our network churches. One of their church members, Sujatha works as a home nurse for an in-home health care service provider. She provides nursing services to the elderly and sick persons at their homes. On one occasion, she was sent by her employer to provide healthcare services at Mr. Hussain’s home. Hussain is an elderly man with many health conditions. Sujatha is not well-educated but she could read the Bible and pray. One day when his condition got really bad, Sujatha asked Hussain’s permission to pray for him. With his consent, Sujatha prayed for the old man and he got well soon.

Later Sujatha was deployed at another home by her employer. Recently, Hussain tested positive for COVID-19 and his pre-existing health conditions have made his situation very bad. He was put on a ventilator at a hospital. Hussain remembered Sujatha’s prayers and soon called his son and asked for Sujatha to be prayed upon. His son contacted their Home nursing service provider and begged to find out about Sujatha. Finally, Sujatha visited them and prayed for Hussain who was in a critical condition. But God answered the prayers of this humble woman and healed Hussain completely. Hussain is soon discharged and he now attends the church prayer meetings via Zoom. God really does answer the prayers of His beloved and uses the least of us to do great and mighty things.

We will continue to pray and see at the Online Virtual Conference of ICAL this October.

May God’s grace abound you and bless your ministry.
