Pray for the Ukraine!
/I am deeply concerned about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The death of Ukrainians and destruction of their cities may soon cause a major war with NATO military forces sent in to fight against the Russians. The harm this is doing to Ukrainian citizens is immeasurable, yet despite it, I know that the Spirit-led Church in Ukraine will stand!
ICAL has members with extensive networks and missions who live in the Ukraine, Russia, and former Soviet Bloc nations such as Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. We also have several members living in Canada, the USA, Australia and other European countries who work with networks and missions in those nations. They have formed a great brotherhood across their boundaries.
Historically, the remnant Church has made its greatest advances amid war and persecution. No matter where there are wars and rumors of war, His Church can be victorious!
We need to pray individually and corporately, petitioning God to intervene.
We must pray for Christians to stand firm on the Word of God by faith and know that their hope in Christ is secure no matter what is going on around them.
We must pray for God’s wisdom, revelation, and understanding for those involved in the decision-making about this war.
We must pray for the salvation of all the unsaved politicians, soldiers, and others so that unrighteous hearts and ungodly attitudes change.
We must pray for a cease-fire and a peace agreement. “And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more” (Micah 4:3).
We must pray for a revival fire of God to spread throughout the nations.
We should pray for identificational repentance regarding the past mistakes and bad decisions based on liberal political attitudes regarding Ukraine and its people.
Pray for everyone fighting to defend Ukraine, and access to food, water, shelter, transportation out of the country and a faster way for refugees to cross the boards of neighboring counties.
Pray for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (below) and his wife Olena Zelenska and children. He is leading the fight as head of the Ukrainian military. After the United States offered to evacuate him from Ukraine, President Zelensky said: "I need ammunition, not a lift." The battle is here and that's where I stay". eep Praying for him, this family and all Ukrainians!
