Glory to God In India! by Prasad Rao
/Apostle Prasad Rao, the ICAL Convenor for India, submitted this report April 2022
Greetings from India! On 2nd April more than 100 church planters serving at different places of our state have attended the event. God gave me an opportunity to have fellowship with them, equip and encourage them to carry forward the vision of planting 1000 churches. I'm moved by the testimonies our church planters shared during the event. Despite the challenging situations, God has been using them to take the Gospel to the unreached communities and villages, to evangelize and disciple, to grow and multiply for the Kingdom's cause.
Glory to God for all the miracles and testimonies at our church planting areas!
WOMENS MINISTRY
Our Women's fellowship, led by my wife Kala, have been into mission trips regularly to equip the local churches. Two weeks ago they were invited by one of our church planters to minister at their local churches in Aladurg. We booked a mini bus to take the team of 21 members to the church planting area. God used every member of the team to minister and equip the church leaders and believers. We are planning to send our teams to the church planting areas and to the unreached villages for evangelism and discipleship.
Church Dedication
Last Thursday, we went to the dedication of a church at Singur. It is a poor tribal area where Gospel had not reached the communities until one of our church planters started his ministry more than a decade ago. Initially only a couple of people accepted to the Lord and became believers. But over the years, there has been a great transformation in the tribal area and many people started attending the church. As the congregation grew, God blessed the church with a good piece of land. I went to dedicate the church along with our team of 15 members.
Hundreds of people attended the dedication ceremony including local political leaders, village head and the elders. Many of them, non-believers, requested the church's prayers for them and their families. They also appreciated the church's burden for the community especially for the poor. I can clearly see how impactful the church has been in this area, how it could transform a dry and unreached region into fertile ground for advancing the Kingdom of God. I believe that each and every one of our 256 churches to be such places which break the ground and prepare it for further multiplication for the glory of God.
ICAL will soon post more about what Apostle Prasad Roa, his wife and team are doing! Pray for India!
